My interpretation of Metaliteracy
As our first class of the semester slowly comes to a close, I am still completely baffled by the term "metaliteracy." The only way that I can understand this term, (which I hope is a correct defintion) is that metaliteracy is the synthesized term for the range of topics under information literacy. Information literacy is a very broad term, which can be applied to a user's proficiency in utilizing media literacy, traditional alphabetic literacy, library instruction, cultural literacy, etc. Once a user can properly combine these realms of literacy to locate and understand information, they will then be verse in the subject of metaliteracy.
